Who We Are

Rekindle Children’s Hope, Inc. (RCH) began in the heart of seminary students studying at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS.  One student, a native pastor of Cameroon, was overcome by the dire conditions in the many villages throughout his home country and shared his burden with fellow students and believers.  A team was formed in 2009 which now includes followers of Christ from various walks of life, all committed to spreading the love of Christ throughout Central Africa.  RCH is in it’s third year of supporting orphans and disadvantaged children in villages in Cameroon.  Without physical and spiritual help, many of these children will fall victim to the same challenges that have overwhelmed prior generations.  RCH is committed to providing the physical and educational needs of children in order to impact them with the life-changing power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

RCH’s vision is to reach the many orphaned, disadvantaged, and abandoned children in the villages of Cameroon.  RCH has began work in the villages of Wokeka and Maumu, which are outside the city of Buea near the western coast of Central Africa.  With the help of faithful supporters, RCH is currently sponsoring the second class of children in the orphan-care program. Joining in the RCH Africa program, the child is then enrolled in a local school, receives uniforms, a backpack, payment of tuition and fees, books and enrichment in the RCH after-school program along with weekly Bible study.  Healthy, nutritional snacks are also provided.
